Important digital design contents in inkjet printing include bitmap data (dots) and vector data (Pezier curve). Bitmap data is subject to fatal data degradation (blurring of the image) when enlarged or reduced in size, while vector data does not deteriorate the image at all no matter how much it is enlarged or reduced. Adobe Illustrator®︎ is a typical vector tool, but it is basically a graphic design software, not a so-called "drawing" software. Due to the nature of the tool, it is almost impossible at this point to create sophisticated visual expressions as if one were drawing a common picture.

Uesaka is the only one in the Kaga yuzen world who has not been steeped in the values of the mass production system, and has been creating true one-of-a-kind pieces for 40 years, with no two pieces ever being the same. He has been making truly one-of-a-kind pieces for 40 years. He carries out the entire process of designing, drafting, gluing, and coloring by himself, which can be a daunting task. The traditional Kaga Yuzen craftsmanship that he has acquired through his many years of creative activities has become the technical foundation for creating cutting-edge digital designs today.
